Maintenance
Our canvas glamping tent is made of poly-cotton fabric that requires regular cleaning every six months or as needed. Use a sponge or soft cloth, warm water, and mild soap. Avoid aggressive cleaning products or pressure washers, as they can damage the fibers and the water-repellent coating.
The roof and the protective strip at the base are made of PVC, which is easy to clean. Clean every three months or as needed. Usually, warm water, a soft sponge, and a mop with a telescopic handle are sufficient. For heavier dirt, use mild soap. Avoid harsh cleaners like bleach, as they can damage the material, cause discoloration, or leave stains.
Once a year, treat wooden terraces, flooring, and other wooden components with a specialized terrace oil. This protects the wood from moisture and prevents mold growth.
Zippers can be easily cleaned of sand, dirt, and other debris using a soft brush. To reduce wear and maintain water resistance, regularly lubricate zippers with products like silicone spray. Avoid pulling zippers too hard to prevent damage. If a zipper does not function properly, check for dirt or obstructions.
If your tent is equipped with removable mosquito net curtains, they can be washed by hand or in a standard washing machine. Use a laundry bag for delicate items and a mild detergent.
Regularly clean the tent and never pack it when wet for transport or storage. To minimize condensation, keep ventilation openings slightly open, even during rain. If condensation occurs, wipe it off with a dry cloth and air the tent thoroughly.
If mold or mildew appears, treat the affected areas with a 50% vinegar solution, leave it for 30 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
We offer glamping for sale with our tents that are designed to withstand cold weather and can remain set up under snow throughout winter. However, consider the specific climate of your location. If your tent is in a coastal or storm-prone area, we recommend disassembling it for seasonal storage.
If you decide not to disassemble the tent for winter:
Check and tighten the roof using ratchet locks if necessary.
Remove mattresses, bedding, textiles, decor, and any items susceptible to moisture.
Close all windows and tighten the tent fabric to avoid sagging.
Wait for spring to start the new season. 😊
We recommend storing tents in dry, well-ventilated areas. Ensure the tent is clean and completely dry before packing it for storage to avoid mold or mildew. If drying outdoors is difficult, spread the tent indoors or in another dry space, open all doors and vents, and let it air-dry. If space is limited, hang individual tent components to dry.
